FIG Air Inc. was launched in 2015 to meet the needs of a corporate owner to have his Augusta 109 helicopter managed safely and cost-effectively. In the fall of 2016, FIG Air Inc. purchased a Sikorsky 76D helicopter, and in 2017 acquired Central Helicopters, a commercial helicopter operator and maintenance organization located in Parry Sound.
